Constant Voltage Power Amplifier / Source [CV-A and CV-S Series]
Constant Voltage Power Amplifiers / Sources

Q: What is the frequency response of your constant voltage mode power amplifiers?

A: The standard frequency response is 47 Hz to 10K Hz. Higher frequency response, up to 20K Hz, are available if the lower bound starts at 2K Hz or higher.

Q: What is the output voltage range?

A: The standard output voltage range is 0 – 130 V rms. Other output voltage ranges, 0 – 260 V rms. and 0 – 480 V rms., are available upon request.

Q: Can you control the output parameters of your constant voltage power sources remotely?

A: Yes. Remote control options are available. They are 0-10 V DC analog control, GPIB control, and RS232 controls

Q: What are some applications?

A: The constant voltage power amplifiers / sources are commonly used for:

  • Magnetic field generation
  • Testing ripple durability of auto motors
  • Transducer testing
  • Lighting products testing
  • Transformer testing
  • Watt meter testing

Q: Can you design a single unit with multiple CV channels?

A: Yes. We can design and manufacture units with multiple CC (constant current) and CV (constant voltage) channels. For example:

  • We designed and manufactured 9-channel constant voltage power amplifier for Collins Aerospace.
  • We designed and manufactured hybrid 8-channel AC power amplifiers (4 CC channels and 4 CV channels) for Honeywell Inc.
  • We manufactured 3-channel constant voltage power amplifier for Collins Aerospace.

Q: What are the dimensions?

A:
Models with output power of 50 to 100 watts: 19"W × 5.25"H × 16"D

     Models with output power of 200 to 300 watts: 19"W × 5.25"H × 20"D
     Models with output power of 400 to 1000 watts: 19"W × 7"H × 23"D
     Models with output power of 1200 to 1500 watts: 19"W × 7"H × 24.5"D
